About the service

We assess shifting problems, vibration and driveline noise in relation to the gearbox, clutch, propeller shaft and axle assemblies. A single symptom does not identify the failed part. Inspection and fault assessment guide the discussion of maintenance, individual component replacement or assembly repair appropriate to the vehicle.

What we inspect and repair

• Assessing gearbox operation, shifting behaviour and available diagnostic information.
• Inspecting the clutch, flywheel, bearings and seals, and considering repair or replacement options.
• Checking the propeller shaft, universal joints, connections and mountings.
• Inspecting differentials and final drives, changing oil and investigating leakage.

What to include in your enquiry

• Vehicle details and the gearbox type, if known.
• The gears, speeds or load conditions in which noise or vibration occurs.
• Previous repair and oil-change information, together with any dashboard warnings.
